Water Facts – After a massage in our office, we always ask “Room Temp or Cold?” to ask you how you want your water. It is our way of emphasizing the importance of good hydration, especially after a massage, to help flush away toxins and speed tissue repair. Penny’s Travels – She’s back! “Penny’s 2010 European Tour” has come to an end. She visited friends and family in England, Scotland and the French Pyrenees. This was followed by a visit to her oldest daughter in Grenoble, France. A highlight of the trip was when the entire Stansfield family drove from Grenoble to Assisi, Italy, to spend a couple of days with son Alastair, who is working in Italy this summer. This was a rare occasion for the “Wandering Stansfields” to reunite! And we are glad she has reunited with us, also. Gary Finishes Ironman – Gary “took to the hills” last month for the July 25 Ironman Lake Placid competition. Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and topped off by a regulation marathon (26.2 miles). He had 17 hours to finish the competition and used almost every minute of it. Check out his sometimes agonizing Ironman Blog on our website for more details. Next? He’ll be doing a few shorter distance triathlons and is thinking about another Ironman in 2012, probably in Florida. He will return to Lake Placid in 2011 to help cheer some friends doing Ironman for the first time and will likely volunteer at the Massage Tent. Facebook - As a reminder, Hillsborough Massage Therapy is a member of Facebook. Some of us are not all that familiar with it, but we use it as a fun way to communicate with our “Friends.” Membership in Facebook is voluntary – check us out!
