S & S For A Healthy Back Ever wonder why your cat doesn’t need to see the chiropractor? Stretching is one of the best ways to decrease occasional or even chronic back pain. Keeping the muscles loose alleviates tension and helps to increase mobility in the body. This workshop will teach you how to stretch and how to strengthen your core muscles. Easy-to-follow and easy-to-learn techniques that will benefit you for life! The Hot Foot Bath While you sit with your feet in a bowl of warm, scented water, in a candlelit room listening to soothing music, your partner will offer you some relaxing massage on the shoulders and scalp. The hot foot bath is not just a foot treatment – it relieves chest, nasal and sinus congestion, helps those who suffer from insomnia and increases overall relaxation. This is a perfect treat for a cold Winter’s Night! S & S For Weekend Warriors & Other Athletes Don’t let muscle pain keep you from achieving your athletic goals this spring and summer. Learn the importance of adding stretching to your training routine and exactly what stretches are safe for your joints. Then learn how to keep your body strong to put in the extra training time. Intended for walkers, runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes, this workshop will benefit you no matter what your level of training. Definitely not just for die-hards; all athletic levels are welcome! Hand and Foot Massage Massaging the hands and feet are the two most effective ways to induce whole body relaxation. You will be given an introduction to reflexology and shown several points on the hands and feet to relieve headaches, indigestion, sinus congestion and insomnia. You will be able to work these points on yourself. You and your partner will learn to give each other a soothing massage on the hands and feet using lotion scented with lavender, ginger or mint. S & S For Golfers We can’t promise that you will play 18 holes like Tiger Woods, but we can promise that you don’t have to feel like you went 18 rounds with Mike Tyson when you are finished. Start off your golf season right with ways to stretch and strengthen those muscles you will be using all season long. Increasing your range of motion in the shoulders and back can help your swing while limber legs can help you walk the terrain, whether fairway or rough. Seated Chair Massage - Neck & Back Massage You and your partner will learn to give each other a wonderful massage while seated. We will focus on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. This is the ideal way to unwind after a busy day at work. The perfect gift you can give to a friend or family member before bedtime. You will also be given an introduction to aromatherapy so you can include the use of essential oils in your massage No experience is needed for any of the Workshops– just an interest in your health. You will be given a detailed handout of techniques at each workshop to remind you of all that you have learned. Individuals are welcome, or bring a friend or partner. These are interactive (but not strenuous) workshops. Classes will be adapted to the levels of the participants. Dress comfortably. Cost:
